About/FAQ
Welcome to Next Paige Glassworks!
What is Next Paige Glassworks? NPG is a glass art studio located in Burlington, Iowa. The studio owner, Laura, specializes in copper foil stained glass panels, suncatchers, plant and garden art, ornaments, mosaics, and small-scale restoration. The business name reflects Laura's desire to tell contemporary stories by using traditional glass-working techniques, as well as her love for reading. It also just so happens that her daughter's middle name is Paige :)
Can I visit the studio? No, not at this time. The studio is in-home, but dozens of work examples can be found in the photo albums on the business' Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61558363664496 You can also find items on display (and for sale) at the Art Center of Burlington, located at 301 Jefferson St. in Burlington, IA.
Do you take commissions (custom orders)? Yes, but only when time allows. When commissions/custom ordering is open, an announcement will be posted on Facebook to let followers know when/how to order. Commission status will also be posted at the top of the page's pinned post. Interested parties will be provided a consultation within three business days, including a cost estimate.
How do I pay for items? Credit cards are accepted for BigCartel orders. Venmo is preferred for custom orders, but cash is accepted upon pickup for local orders. Commissions/custom orders over $50 require 50% of the item cost to be paid upon ordering. Any PERSONALIZED commissions/custom orders require 100% of the item cost to be pre-paid upon ordering. Personalization includes (but is not limited to): pets, people, names, sayings, unique color schemes, etc. The seller will determine the level of personalization of an item based on the ability to re-sell the item if the buyer cancels the order.
Do you offer refunds? No, all sales are final. However, if your item is flawed or breaks at no fault of the buyer, it will be repaired or remade at no cost.
Do you restore or repair stained glass? Yes, but only small, copper foil projects. Check out the photo album titled "Trinity Lutheran Portfolio" on our Facebook page for examples of restoration work.
Do you make or repair stained glass windows? Not at this time, but hopefully some day!
How should I display my stained glass pieces? Suction cups are never recommended for displaying stained glass pieces. Items should be hung from hooks or other permanent window/wall fixtures to eliminate the risk of falling.
